Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Trinity College celebrated its 50th Year Jubilee on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October, 2017.

The celebrations began with the students and invited guests on Friday, 27th of October as part of the Annual Founders' Day Celebrations.

  • A liturgy included the Blessing of the Jubilee Centre, by Fr Michael O'Toole, and the official opening of this building by our Business Manager, Mr Gerard McKenzie.
  • Also the Blessing of the newly refurbished oval by Fr Michael O'Toole and the official opening of the oval by foundation student and long standing teacher, Mr Des Ryan.
  • Students participated in a walkathon where students gained sponsorship and walked or jogged laps to raise funds for educational equipment for schools in Tanzania.
  • Our student leaders for 2018 were officially invested.

On Saturday evening, 28th October the first concert and official ceremonies were held in the Jubilee Centre.

  • The book titled "Looking Back", written by Mrs Helen Paatsch was launched.
  • The Trinity grand piano was unveiled. Chris and Therese Quinn coordinated the fundraiser that provided funds for the purchase of the grand piano.
  • The concert was well beyond expectations. From the comical comperes to the brilliant singers and performers the audience was captivated.

   

On Sunday morning local parishioners and visitors gathered at St Mary's Church for the 11.00am weekly mass.


Sunday afternoon from 12.30pm Trinity College was open for everyone to wander through and see how the school has grown since it began 50 years ago.
