Social Responsibility

Trinity College places great importance on the promotion of social justice. A number of activities and fund-raising events are held so as to encourage social responsibility and to raise awareness of injustice and suffering. Students have the opportunity to be involved in a social justice group which meets on a regular basis and responds to needs in the local and global community.

In 2016 some of the activities organised by the Social Justice committee that involved the school community were:

  • ‘Project Compassion’ – Coin lines and raffles to raise funds for Caritas.
  • Mercy Foundation – with its goal to end homelessness in Australia
  • Year 9 Melbourne Experience Camp – Students visited Social Justice Placements
  • Founders’ Day Walkathon – to raise awareness and funds for the homeless
    Vinnies Christmas Appeal.
