Well Resourced Library
The Trinity College library is named after Mrs Helen Paatsch, former long serving librarian, and her husband Frank. The library is incorporated in the St Joseph’s Wing, which is named after the original Catholic Secondary School in Colac.
The library is an enjoyable place to visit, with two private study areas and a well-established resource area with computers. There is a wide range of books where students can select novels, or non-fiction books, to read at home or during literacy period. The library also has an impressive selection of electronic resources for staff and student use.
Students have access to the Trinity College Colac Library site by going to the SIMON homepage and clicking on ‘Library Resources’ under the ‘Resources’ tab. From this site the students can search for a book and access links to newspapers, magazines and other resources online.
The library is open for students to study and do homework after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 5.05pm. ALL students from Year 7 through to Year 12 are more than welcome to attend. Students can come for ten minutes, for half an hour, an hour or for the whole session. Just bring your Maths Mate, English book to read, Humanities or Science project, that you need to work on, and settle in! The library is a great space where there is peace and quiet to allow students to focus, with readily access to books and computers for research and printers for printing.
