For the past few years, following a Mass in St Mary's Church, a walkathon around the Colac Botanic Gardens has been held. Students sought sponsorship to complete laps of the gardens and the funds raised went to a worthy social justice cause. In the lead up to the event, the cause chosen for the year, was highlighted to the students to create an awareness of those less fortunate than themselves.

Walkathon 2014

Students commence the walkathon in 2014.

In 2017, it was decided that Founders' Day would be held on the Friday prior to the 50th Year Celebrations. A liturgy was held at Trinity College for students, staff and invited guests. Included in this part of the celebrations was the official opening of the Jubilee Centre and the Trinity College synthetic oval.

Apart from the liturgy, students took part in other activities during the day ie: a walkathon, activities on the oval and participation in social justice events.

About seven brave boys ran their Walkathon laps on the "new" oval, many achieving their 20 laps in the hour available. It was a hot day and took a tremendous, selfless effort. Most students walked the 1.6 km lap of the school, many achieving their five laps and more.
