Trinity College has developed a reputation of producing excellent school productions. These are usually held every two years and require a whole College effort to reach their culmination on the stage.  Auditions are held nearly twelve months prior to the performance and then over many rehearsals, including a three-day camp, the performers perfect their lines prior to opening night.

2018 COLLEGE PRODUCTION - 'FOOTLOOSE'

This year 80 students from Years 7-12 will be participating both onstage and backstage in the College's musical performance of 'Footloose'.

'Footloose' is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy who is a member of a dance club in Chicago. After his father abandons them, Ren and his mother, move to be with her family in the small town of Bomont. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including Reverend Moore, because of his love to dance. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing, after a horrifying car accident involving four young people returning from a dance. With the help of Ariel (the Reverend's daughter) and his new friend Willard Hewitt, Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance and, in the process, helps the town to heal from a tragedy that had affected them all.

Trinity's performance of 'Footloose' will be held in the Jubilee Centre on the 8th, 9th and 10th August. Tickets will be on sale later in the year.
